Terms and Conditions for Liat Air
Article 1 : Definitions & Interpretations
1.1
Certain words and expressions used in these Terms and Conditions are capitalized because they carry specific meanings. These defined terms are set out below in Article 1.2. Where a capitalized term is not defined here, its meaning can be found under Article 1 of Liat Air Limited’s General Conditions of Carriage.
1.2 In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context requires otherwise:
“Account” means a Member’s account, which records the Member’s details, Membership Number, and Award Points earned through the Program.
“Liat” or “Liat Air Limited” means Liat Air Limited.
“Criteria” means that each applicant must: (i) be a living individual; (ii) be 18 years of age or over; and (iii) not reside in any excluded country.
“Conditions of Carriage” means Liat Air Limited’s Liat Air’s standard terms and conditions of passenger and/or cargo carriage, as published on the website.
“Data” means personal data relating to a Member.
“Domestic Routes” means all routes operated by Liat Air within Antigua & Barbuda, as published on the website.
“Regional Routes” means destinations designated by Liat Air within the Caribbean Region.
“International Routes” means all routes operated by Liat Air outside the Caribbean Region with additional routes added as the international network expands.
“Liat Air” means LIAT (2020) Limited”
“Loss” means any loss, cost, damage, injury, accident, or claim (direct or indirect) suffered by Members in connection with the Program.
“Member” means any individual registered for and accepted as a participant in the Program by Liat Air. Liat Air Club Program.
“Membership” means participation in the Liat Air Club Program.
“Membership Card” means the card issued to identify Members of the Program.
“Membership Number” means the unique number assigned to each Member for use in the Program.
“Award Points” means credits earned and allocated to Members in return for flights or other qualifying activities as determined by Liat Air.
“Partners” means businesses with which Liat Air has established a formal Program relationship.
“Program” means the Liat Air Club Frequent Flyer Loyalty Program.
“Qualifying Flight” means any fully paid and eligible flight taken by a Member on Liat Air after enrolment.
“Rewards” means benefits obtained by redeeming Award Points, including Reward Flights and any Reward Offers promoted on the Liat Air Website.
“Sector” means a one-way journey from a departure airport to an arrival airport.
“Terms” means these Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time.
“Validity Period” means the period from the date of issue of a Reward, subject to compliance with these Terms.
“Website” means the official website of Liat Air, currently www.liatair.com.
1.3 In these Terms and Conditions:
(i) References to “we”, “us”, “our”, or “ourselves” mean Liat Air Limited. LIAT (2020) Limited
(ii) References to “you”, “your”, or “yourself” mean the Member.
Article 2: Right to Membership and Points
2.1 Liat Air extends Membership under the Program at its sole discretion. Liat Air therefore has the right to terminate the Program in whole or in part or to change or amend the terms and conditions in whole or in part at any time, without prior notice to its members, even if it affects points already accumulated under the Program.
2.2 At its sole discretion, Liat Air may change the rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers under the Program at any time. The accumulation of points under the program therefore does not entitle the member to any vested right or ownership of such points.
Article 3 : Becoming a Member
Individuals may enroll as members of Liat Air Club the Program electronically through any of the following official channels:

Upon successful completion of the enrollment process, a unique membership number will be assigned to you. This number, together with a self- selected password will enable you to log in to your personal online account otherwise known as profile.
Upon successful completion of the enrollment process you may claim award points relating to qualifying flights up to 180 days prior to your membership.
Through your account, you will be able to view and monitor your flight activity, track rewards and manage your membership details.
Article 4: Earning Award Points
4. 1: Eligibility to Earn Points
Once your frequent flyer account has been activated, you may begin earning award points based on the class of travel booked, paid for and ticketed.
Points are credited only for qualifying flights operated exclusively by Liat Air.
4.2 Points Credit Requests
Liat Air will credit points only after you have traveled on the booked flight.
4.3 Exclusions
Members will not earn award points on the following classes:
Promotional fares booked in classes: (X, U, V)
Barter tickets (T)
Duty travel (E)
Group travel (G)
Award tickets issued using Liat Air Club points (W) or equivalent tickets from another loyalty program
Tickets purchased or payments made for baggage or extra seating.
Lost, refunded, forfeited, unused, expired, or discounted tickets including complimentary, charter, agent, industry, rebate, staff, or prize tickets.
Flights canceled or transferred to another airline due to circumstances beyond Liat Air’s control.
4.4 Validity and Expiry of Award Points.
Award points have no cash value and may not be exchanged for money under any circumstances.
Award points are valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date they are credited to your account.
Award points due for expiration may be extended on an additional 12 months’ basis, upon payment of an extension fee, if the member chooses to extend.
Any award points that are not redeemed or extended within the validity period will automatically expire and be removed from your account.
4.5 Additional Conditions
Award points may be earned only once per flight sector, regardless of the number of seats purchased by the same member.
The number of points earned is determined by the booking class of the marketing carrier.
You must provide your full name and membership number when booking or checking in to ensure points are awarded.
Infants (0–2 years), Children (2–17 years) are not eligible to earn award points at this time.
Only adult members (18+) may earn points.
Program features and operations will be updated in phases.
Award points are non-transferable.
Article 5: Award Points to Your Account
5.1 Award Points earned from qualifying flights will be automatically credited to your Account within 24 hours after travel is completed, provided your Membership Number was supplied at the time of booking or check-in.
5.2 If your Membership Number was not provided at the time of booking or check-in, points may only be credited by submitting a claim through the “Missing Points” function on your Member profile.
5.3 Members may claim missing points for flights up to, but not beyond, 90 days after travel. It is the Member’s responsibility to verify their Account and notify Liat Air Club of any discrepancies.
5.4 Award Points will only be credited if the name on the Membership Account matches the name on the flight booking. Any duplicate claims for the same flight will not be credited.
5.5 Once points are credited, your Account will be automatically updated. If you believe an error has occurred, please contact us at liatairclub@liatair.com within 90 days of travel.
5.6 Right to Amend Accrual Levels
Liat Air reserves the right to amend the number of points required for accrual at its discretion.
Article 6: Available Rewards
6.1 Redemption Rates
Members may visit www.liatair.com to access the current redemption chart or use the points calculator via your profile, which outlines the number of award points required to redeem an award flight on Liat Air.
The published figures apply to one-way sectors. For return journeys, the number of award points required will be doubled accordingly.
6.2 Right to Amend Redemption Levels
Liat Air reserves the right to amend the number of points required for any award at its discretion.
Where practical, Liat Air will make reasonable efforts to provide members with at least three (3) months’ notice of such changes.
Article 7: Members Redeeming Points for Rewards
7.1 Award Points may be redeemed for reward flights, provided that your account has a sufficient balance to cover the full points value required. Redemption is only permitted once the points are credited to your Account.
7.2 Reward bookings may be made electronically through your Member profile or by contacting us at liatairclub@liatair.com. Bookings on behalf of nominees must also be submitted to the same email address for processing.
7.3 All redemption requests must include your Membership Number and full name. We reserve the right to refuse any redemption request if the details provided do not match the registered Membership Account.
7.4 Reward flight bookings must be completed at least 72 hours prior to departure. Same day redemption will not be permitted.
7.5 Reward flights do not include travel insurance. Members are solely responsible for arranging appropriate coverage, including but not limited to personal accident and life insurance.
7.6 The sale, transfer, barter, or auction of Reward flights or Award Points is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these Terms, which may result in termination of Membership.
7.7 Reward flights are subject to applicable taxes, fees, charges, and surcharges, which are the responsibility of the Member. These amounts are subject to change without prior notice.
7.8 Blackout dates may apply to certain rewards. Details will be available on our website or upon request at the time of booking.
7.9 Award Points cannot be redeemed against “open” tickets.
7.10 Partial payment with points plus cash is not available at this stage but may be introduced in future phases of the Program.
7.11 Additional terms and conditions may apply to certain rewards and will be published on our website where applicable.
7.12 Reward flights will only be issued as e-tickets, which will be sent to the email address registered with your Account. If you wish the e-ticket to be sent to an alternative email address, you must notify us at the time of redemption.
7.13 You must present your e-ticket confirmation at the airport for travel. By redeeming Points for a Reward Flight, you agree to be bound by Liat Air’s Conditions of Carriage.
7.14 For connecting flights (within 24 hours and carrying a 5L prefix), changes may only be made if there is availability on all segments of the revised itinerary.
7.15 Itinerary changes may be requested prior to the stated departure date, subject to applicable service fees. Name changes are not permitted under any circumstances.
7.16 Requests for itinerary changes must be submitted via your member profile or to liatairclub@liatair.com. Our contact centre is unable to issue rewards or process such requests.
7.17 A Points redeposit charge will apply for voluntary cancellations of reward flights. Details of applicable charges are available on our website.
7.18 In the event of operational disruptions, our priority will be to rebook you on the next available flight. If you decline re-accommodation, Points for the unused reward flight will be redeposited at no charge.
7.19 Redeemable Points may be re-credited without charge in the case of death of an immediate family member, serious illness or injury, subject to submission of appropriate supporting documentation.
7.20 Once travel has commenced, points cannot be refunded.
7.21 In cases of no-show, points are forfeited, and revalidation or changes are not permitted.
7.22 Flight changes are permitted up to 48 hours before departure and remain subject to seat availability in the relevant Reward booking class.
7.23 Reward Flight availability is capacity-controlled. Seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and Members are encouraged to book early. Online availability is indicative only and may vary at the time of booking.
Article 8: Available Rewards
8.1 Restrictions on Use of Rewards
Unless otherwise permitted by Liat Air rewards will not be combined with other awards, promotions, coupons, discounts, or special offers.
8.2 Travel Documentation
Once a reward has been issued, it is the member’s sole responsibility to ensure that all entry requirements for any country of travel are met, including valid passports, visas, health certificates, and other required documents.
Liat Air will not be liable for any costs, delays, or losses resulting from failure to obtain the necessary documentation.
8.3 Account Audits
Liat Air reserves the right to audit any account or records at any time, without prior notice, to ensure compliance with these Terms & Conditions, Liat Air’s Conditions of Carriage, and applicable laws or regulations.
8.4 Ownership of Points and Membership Materials
All rights of ownership and title in and to award points, membership cards, and associated program materials remain vested in Liat Air at all times.
Award points are not the property of the member, and no transfer of ownership takes place at any time.
8.5 Member Responsibility and Security
Members are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their accounts.
All risks associated with the redemption of award points pass to the member immediately upon crediting of points.
Liat Air is not liable for unauthorized or fraudulent redemptions arising from member negligence or failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
8.6 Availability of Benefits
While Liat Air endeavors to provide all published member benefits, benefits cannot be guaranteed at all times and may be subject to operational, regulatory, or other constraints.
7.1 Unless otherwise permitted by us, rewards cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions, discounts, or offers.
7.2 It is your responsibility, once a reward has been issued, to ensure you meet the entry requirements of the destination country, including passport, visa, health certificates, and other necessary travel documents.
7.3 We reserve the right to audit any account without notice to verify compliance with these Terms, our Conditions of Carriage, and applicable laws.
7.4 All rights of ownership and title to Award Points and Membership Cards remain with Liat Air. At no time do Members acquire ownership rights over points.
7.5 Members are responsible for safeguarding their account details. Liat Air is not liable for unauthorized or fraudulent redemptions resulting from the Member’s failure to protect their information.
7.6 Benefits offered under the Program, are subject to availability and are not guaranteed at all times.
Article 9: Changes to the Terms
9.1 Right to Amend
Only Liat Air may amend or modify these Terms & Conditions, and may do so at its sole discretion at any time.
9.2 Publication of Amendments
Any revisions to these Terms will be published exclusively on the official Liat Air Website.
Members are responsible for regularly reviewing the website to ensure they are referring to the most current edition of the Terms & Conditions.
9.3 Acceptance of Amendments
If a member does not accept the revised Terms, the member may terminate their Liat Air Club membership.
Continued participation in the program following the publication of revised Terms will be deemed to constitute acceptance of the updated Terms from the date of publication.
Article 10: Liability & Limitations
10.1 Liat Air shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from any alteration, suspension, or termination of the Program, including the right to earn or redeem points or the availability of rewards, except where such loss is directly caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10.2 Liat Air shall not be liable for any loss or inability to provide rewards where such provision is restricted or prohibited by local legal, regulatory, or governmental requirements in certain countries or for certain members.
10.3 All limitations and exclusions of liability set out in Liat Air’s Conditions of Carriage for passengers and baggage shall apply to travel on Liat Air flights, including reward flights redeemed through the Program.
Article 11: Privacy
11.1 Your privacy is of the utmost importance to Liat Air. As a Member of the Program, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our official website.
11.2 For the purposes of these Terms, any reference to “User” within the Privacy Policy shall be understood as a reference to you, the Member of the Program.
11.3 By enrolling and participating in the Program, you acknowledge and consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
11.4 Liat Air shall take all reasonable measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties, except where necessary to administer Program benefits, comply with legal obligations, or collaborate with trusted partners in delivering Program services.
11.5 This Article should be read in conjunction with Article 7 – General, which sets out additional provisions regarding audit rights, compliance obligations, and Program governance.
Article 12: Communication with Members
12.1 You are responsible for ensuring that your membership details remain accurate and up to date. If any of your information changes — including, email address, or other contact details — you must notify us without delay. Updates can be made by contacting us at liatairclub@liatair.com
12.2 Liat Air Club will generally communicate with Members by email. However, we may, at our discretion, correspond with you by mail or other channels from time to time.
12.3 While we will make reasonable efforts to communicate with you, Liat Air is not liable for any failure or delay in correspondence, including but not limited to late, misdirected, or undelivered mail, or unsuccessful email transmission.
12.4 From time to time, Liat Air Club may send Members marketing communications, including newsletters, special offers, and information about promotions or partner services. You may opt out of receiving such communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the communication or by updating your preferences in your Member profile.
12.5 This Article should be read in conjunction with Article 10 – Privacy, which governs the collection, use, and protection of Member information.
Article 13: Data Protection
13.1 We may collect, store and use the following data:
(i) Membership data (award points earned, redeemed, and rewards obtained)
(ii) Travel Data ( Booked or Flown)
(iii) Data provided during enrolment or communication with us.
(iv) Data related to rewards provided by you.
(v) Communication between you and Liat Air Club( including through our contact centre, email, or other channels).
13.2 We may obtain such data from sources including affiliated companies, travel agents, reservation systems, contractors, partner airlines, and service providers.
13.3 By joining the Program, members consent to Liat Air sharing their data with partner airlines, affiliated companies, contractors, third –party suppliers and relevant authorities (such as immigration or customs) where required.
Article 14: Termination of Membership
14.1 We Liat Air may at its sole discretion, terminate your Membership, without prior notice, if:
(a) there is no activity (earning or redeeming points or Rewards) on your Account for 36 consecutive months;
(b) the Member is deceased;
(c) fraudulent, dishonest, or suspicious activity is committed, including but not limited to:
(i) altering or falsifying documents to claim points,
(ii) knowingly supplying false information to accrue points,
(iii) claiming points for flights not flown or ineligible, or
(iv) using or attempting to use counterfeit or stolen tickets;
(d) misconduct occurs, including but not limited to:
(i) failure to comply with these Terms or Conditions of Carriage,
(ii) misuse of Program services or benefits, or
(iii) using threatening, abusive, or insulting language or behavior towards Liat Air staff or partners.
14.2 In cases of fraud or misconduct, Liat Air may cancel all accrued and accruing points, withdraw Rewards, and recover the full value of any travel or benefits improperly obtained.
14.3 In the event your Membership is terminated due to inappropriate conduct while under the Program, Liat Air reserves the right to prohibit the activation of a new Membership. You may therefore only be allowed to start a new Membership with the written permission of Liat Air.
14.4 Upon termination, all remaining Award Points in the Account will be cancelled, and Membership entitlements will become void.
14.5 Members may voluntarily terminate their Membership by notifying us in writing at liatairclub@liatair.com.
14.6 All voluntary requests made by Members to cancel their Membership should include: the Member’s full name, Membership number, email attached to Membership, country of residence and date of birth.
14.7 If a member voluntarily cancels his/her Membership while in good standing, he/she may start a new Membership without first obtaining the prior written consent to do so by Liat Air.
Article 15 – Governing Law
15.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Program, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Antigua and Barbuda.
15.2 By enrolling in the Program, Members agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antigua and Barbuda for the resolution of any such disputes.
15.3 The termination of your Membership, for any reason, shall not affect those provisions of these Terms and Conditions which are intended to continue in force after termination, including but not limited to provisions relating to liability, data protection, privacy, and governing law.
Article 16 – Dispute Resolution
16.1 If any dispute arises concerning the Program, the Member shall notify Liat Air immediately, by submitting a detailed description of the nature of the dispute.
16.2 All disputes shall be addressed by Liat Air within 30 days of receipt thereof. The Member agrees to allow Liat Air the aforementioned time within which to amicably resolve the matter.
16.3 In the event the dispute cannot be resolved by good faith discussions between the Member and Liat Air, it is agreed that the parties will first resort to mediation, prior to filing any lawsuit or any other proceedings against Liat Air.
Article 17 – Entire Agreement
17.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with any documents expressly referred to herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Liat Air in relation to your Membership and participation in the Program.
17.2 They These Terms and Conditions supersede and replace any prior representations, communications, or understandings (whether written or oral) between you and Liat Air relating to the Loyalty Program.
17.3 No employee, officer, or agent of Liat Air has the authority to vary, amend, or waive any of these Terms and Conditions except as expressly provided for in Article 8 (Changes to Terms and Conditions).
